We can’t think of many things that are more important in life than finding a location and a property that you are happy to call a home. We agree with the famous American writer Laura Ingalls Wilder when she wrote, “Home is the nicest word there is”. That’s why the team at Harviestoun Homes work constantly to ensure that when it comes to planning and building a house, it is worthy of being called “home”. Our experienced team are focused on quality of construction, offering you exciting choices, and on giving you a personalised service. They do this with an attention to detail that means the process of buying a new home from Harviestoun Homes is hassle free. From the moment you first contact our office, through the purchase of a suitable home, the design of key internal features, the construction phase, final snagging and aftercare , we will offer a personalised and attentive service. In short, we’ll go the extra mile to ensure that the end result is the home of your dreams.
We only build in desirable locations that usually require buildings to include a traditional accent to their design. Our house designers combine the themes of tradition, craftsmanship and interesting visual detail to create attractive and desirable homes.
Wherever we can, we build our homes with a statement chimney. Not only is this an attractive external design feature, it allows us to fit a wood-burning stove as standard to the largest communal living area. A wood-burning stove is a great focal point for comfortable, relaxed living. It’s also a great renewable fuel to use when heating your home.
Our homes are constructed using sustainable timber-frame building technology. This allows the homes to be compliant with the very latest building regulations and standards of building insulation and energy efficiency.
Typically we use traditional Scottish vernacular of stone cladding, with render and roof tiles to ensure that every home fits seamlessly into its surrounding environment.
Much of the exterior design has to be agreed at the detailed planning stage with local authorities. However, when we work with our customers at the very earliest stages of development, we can offer choice of sun rooms.
This is where you can really have an impact upon the look and feel of your Harviestoun Home. Apart from the location of load-bearing walls, you can work with our house designers to configure the internal layout of the building on both floors to suit your personal requirements.
This extends to the size of the downstairs living area, the number of bedrooms and to the amount of built-in storage space that you require in order to enjoy a clutter free lifestyle.
We’ll direct you to the showrooms of our carefully selected suppliers of kitchens and bathrooms where they will work with you to choose from our extensive standard range.
If you are so inclined, they can show you additional ranges to further upgrade the specification.
With energy costs rising all the time, you will want to know that your Harviestoun Home is designed to the very latest building standards in respect of thermal efficiency.
A Harviestoun Home built in 2014 will be more than 30% thermally efficient than a house built in 2007. In addition to the structure of the building, we fit our homes with A-rated central heating boilers, wood-burning stoves and LED lighting to further enhance their energy efficient credentials.
We offer our customers the opportunity to specify their kitchens and bathrooms from an extensive standard range provided by our carefully selected Scotland-based suppliers.
Their personally tailored customer service means that you can expect to take your time choosing the look and feel of the most important rooms in your home, with expert advice on hand.
We fit out our homes with oak veneered doors complimented with contemporary white painted skirtings and facings. Oak skirtings and facings can be selected on our standard options list. We encourage our customers to choose the type of tiled floors fitted to the bathroom as standard. From our preferred flooring suppliers you can select other floor coverings so they are fitted before you move in.
Customers can choose where electrical switches, sockets and TV points are located as well as the finish of the hardware.
Customers can further upgrade their Harviestoun Home with a range of additional features at extra cost.
We have negotiated great deals with carefully selected suppliers who can offer ready-to-go packages for sun lounges, built-in bedroom furniture, flooring throughout the home, bespoke lighting, built-in sound systems, custom IT installations as well as garden design packages.
At Harviestoun Homes, we can arrange as little or as much as you require before moving in.
Our Harviestoun Homes locations are selected with great care. Each place will mean something slightly different from one person to the next, but we are confident about the description we give to all the locations where Harviestoun Homes are built – PREMIUM.
We believe this means aspirational towns and suburbs of cities. Places that are located close to high-quality and well-established infrastructure such as schools, transport links and shops.
We also like to ensure that our promises on quality and customer service are lived up to. That’s why we build only in the central belt of Scotland, within approximately one hour’s drive from our company’s base in Dollar, Clackmannanshire. We are always on hand to make sure that our construction projects run smoothly and that our after sales service is second to none.
Our most current development is a fantastic 2 home plot in a wonderful elevated location within the attractive town of Dunblane, Stirling. Roman Way is a quiet, residential road with stunning views across the townscape as well as out to the surrounding hills of Perthshire. It is within walking distance of local schools, the railway station and local shops and supermarkets.
